NDIS Support
NDIS Information
Clear, practical guidance to help participants, families, carers, and referrers understand the NDIS, funding options, and how support can begin with confidence.
Understanding the NDIS
The NDIS helps eligible Australians with disability access funding for supports that build independence, improve daily living, and encourage meaningful community participation. Medina Care supports participants and families with clear communication and a person-centred approach.
01
What is the NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme is designed to support people with permanent and significant disability. Funding is based on individual goals, needs, and reasonable and necessary supports that help participants live more independently.
02
How funding works
NDIS funding is usually outlined in a participant plan and may include support categories such as daily living, community participation, transport, and capacity building. The right supports depend on each person’s circumstances, goals, and approved budget.
03
Plan management options
Participants may choose self-managed, plan-managed, or NDIA-managed funding. Each option offers a different level of flexibility, administration, and provider choice, so it is important to select the arrangement that best suits your needs and preferences.
