What is the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme is designed to support people with permanent and significant disability. Funding is based on individual goals, needs, and reasonable and necessary supports that help participants live more independently.

How funding works

NDIS funding is usually outlined in a participant plan and may include support categories such as daily living, community participation, transport, and capacity building. The right supports depend on each person’s circumstances, goals, and approved budget.
